Icer Air 2005
What can you say? Jonny hit a homer with the weather,
crowd, talent, and vibe! Most excellent.
This extremely unique huck-fest was the first skiing in
the Bay Area since the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition on
Treasure Island, which featured a ski jumping contest won by
Norway's Reidar Anderson.
The modern jump was constructed on the famously steep
Fillmore St., with a narrow sliver of shaved ice serving as the in-run,
and a only bit wider patch of "snow" as the landing zone.
(If you can positively I.D. un-named skiers and riders,
please email me at: info@egidio.com
Thanks!)
